About Us
In 1995, Massachusetts initiated a law requiring on-site sewage treatment systems to fall under certain guidelines. These guidelines were set up in response to a concern that antiquated septic systems and cesspools were contaminating groundwater and subsequently drinking water supplies.

Title 5 Inspections
310 CMR (Code of MA Regulations) Section 15.00
“Protects you and your neighbors from public health threats. DEP local Boards of Health and system owners all share the responsibility for the proper sitting, construction, upgrade, and maintenance of on-site systems.”

Al Rivet entered the industry 1995 when the law was implemented. After performing thousands of inspections, Al discovered that there was a need for a company that people could call for, not only inspections, but also troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance - thus, the incorporation of All-Clear in 2004.

As All-Clear grew, it was clear that the business would need another state certified inspector and Tom Bastarache was brought on as a new addition to the All-Clear team. In addition to working several years in the field, both Al and Tom have attended many classes to further their knowledge regarding the workings of on-site

septic systems. As our company has continued to grow through the years and septic services have evolved, our team continues to be the best in the septic and wastewater business.

The All-Clear Inspectors pride themselves in thorough, complete and professional inspections, while respecting the landscape of the home. Our equipment includes "mini" excavating machinery, devices for locating septic components, a sewer cam for investigating the interior of the sewer lines and jetting equipment used to clean the pipes in the leach field. We stand by our official inspections and are sometimes called upon to provide a second opinion or confidential voluntary assessment for the homebuyer. All of these things set All-Clear apart from other inspection companies and make them experts in septic and wastewater services.

At All-Clear, we believe being properly informed is vital to the proper maintenance of septic systems as well as the preservation of the environment. We provide quality education to our clients and fellow professionals in the industry through workshops and seminars. At the University of Rhode Island, Al and Tom have taught a Functional Inspections Workshop to septic inspectors, engineers, realtors and health agents. In March of 2010, they teamed up with National Association of Wastewater Transporters (NAWT) Instructors Jim Anderson, PhD and Dave Gustafson, PE, to present a two-day inspection course, inspectors training.
